Tots 'n' Toast
Is a warm & welcoming group aimed at providing both pre-school children & their parents/carers a place to belong.
It runs every Thursday morning from 9am till 11am term time, led by our Children, Youth & Families Minister & a team of D.B.S. checked volunteers.
We start our time together with free play during which refreshments are served. The children can enjoy big soft play and small toys/games and puzzles, a sensory table, a creative craft/colouring table, books, bricks, and dressing up/role play activities.
Fruit toast, tea and coffee, squash & water are served in abundance. A suggested donation of £1 per session is made, but please don't let this be a barrier if times are hard.
We then work together on tidy-up time, so that we can sit together for a time of story & songs.
We have an age appropriate story and little reflection on a story or short passage from the Bible or a seasonal theme. These are interactive and entertaining and you do not have to be religious to join in. We usually have a few good laughs & it gives us something to chew on as we grapple together with the challenges & joys of bringing up our precious children. We finish with a short prayer and then enjoy a time of singing familiar children's songs chosen by the children with the help of our box of prompts.
Anyone responsible for pre-school children is welcome to join us and we trust you will enjoy a fun group, with food, friends & fellowship.
